Combining so-cute-it-hurts with a snarky attitude, the world of Aranzi Aronzo is irresistible! White Rabbit and Brown Bunny, Sprite, Bad Guy, Liar, Pinkie, Terry the Terrier, and Mechani Panda are just a few of the loveable characters you’ll encounter. Make them, share their adventures, and laugh at their shenanigans via easy-to-follow instructions with felt, needle, and thread, comic strips, puzzles, games and more. But don’t say we didn’t warn you, once you’ve begun your journey, you’ll be pulled back again and again. There is no cure for “cute,” nor will you want one.
Aranzi Aronzo is an intrepid duo hailing variously from Mexico, Norway and Vietnam. The two globe-trotters decided that after years of playing tambourine and working in high finance, the world needed them to make crafts as they pleased and then to sell them as necessary.
After recruiting a large community of characters who passed a grueling set of auditions, interviews and blood tests, Aranzi Aronzo came out with their manifesto – The Cute Book, starring White Rabbit and Brown Bunny. Since then they have published numerous books of patterns, comics and postcards in Japan, where cuteness receptors seemed to be most abundant. But it’s become clear with the dawn of the craft-blog community that Americans are also quite the cute-seeking force to be reckoned with. For years, underground American crafts enthusiasts and the D.I.Y. community have enjoyed the Aranzi Aronzo world of things Japanese and cute, using nothing more than their intuition of the foreign language, visual instructions, and bilingual friends. Now finally the Aranzi Aronzo books are officially available in English! No more heartache, no more misunderstandings!
